Fema tests

When taking the FEMA tests do you really HAVE to read the course information? I mean, I could just as easily look the questions up from the test singularly... As bad as it sounds, I really need credit fast.

i hope a FEMA representative is not reading this... what if tomorrow you wake up and FEMA decides to change their format from pdf to web based where there's no search feature?

I don't think it's technically breaking any rules as long as you are getting the answers from the text, but it really wouldn't hurt to at least look through it. I learned a thing or two and as best I can tell disaster management isn't in my future. You can still skim the material and get one done every day.

Your an ass. I had to sit there for atleast a week straight on each test and study. And you dont want to? How safe do you think our men and women of our nation will be when they need you in a hazard?

I think sometimes we might be missing the entire point of the degree path. The point is we are supposed to be learning. If we wanted to go the quick and easy route there are plenty of diploma mills out there. Frankly, I find it slightly offensive that people are using the FEMA credits this way. This is my degree focus and my passion. It's important information that should be at least read through.

You can do whatever you want, but it is usually a good thing to spend some time understanding whatever you are using for credit. Maybe even kick your brain into doing some hard work. I suspect that learning the material would not take you that much longer than doing your lookup and answer technique.

Let's say you do get your degree, and you are at a job interview, and the interviewer asks you to discuss some of what you have learned. Will you able to answer the questions? How bout if your degree gets you some position at FEMA, and floods happen, etc. Would you know what to do?

From what I have seen the FEMA exams are somewhat of a gift when it comes to college credit, since they are unproctored. There is no need to game the system beyond this.

I have just started taking FEMA test and so far have done 3 online courses. I love this method, I find it much easier to go through the information in this format. When I look at the download courses it just looks like so much reading and once I start my mind seems to wander and it doesn't sink in. THe online courses are more interactive and I feel I have learned a lot.

Has anyone else tryed the online course and if so how would you compare it to the download.?

Also if you do the download, do you read it online( I find this difficult with my glasses) or do you print out all those pages?

I only planned 2-3 more FEMA credits, but if I could do more as online or get a better handle on the download courses, I do have plenty of room for more free electives.
