I'm positive that I'm overthinking this. I'm currently writing a final paper that, in the outline/rubric, has a requirement of 8-11 pages. No font or spacing is specified.
Is it implied that the paper is Times New Roman, 12 pt font, double spaced? If I go over the 11 page max, let's say it's 13 pages, is that a big deal?
Obviously, I know I can ask the prof, but really don't want to bug them with a question like that - they might get the impression that I'm trying to do the minimum.

Yes, on the font, spacing & length. I tended to go over most of my submissions and passed with solid marks. However, when I submitted the minimum, I fared well as long as I met the rubric marks.

My paper was 10 pages long, double spaced, and written in 12 pt. Times New Roman font. Zaborney isn't a stickler for page length, just follow his instructions regarding the content of your essay.

All papers should be done in APA format and you should be golden. Do you have an APA template to work off of? It isn’t a problem to go over the page length in Dr Z courses.

All classes at UMPI are APA format unless otherwise noted in the instructions. If you go over the page count and a professor wants it shorter, they'll let you know when they respond to your draft submission. They're usually happier if it's longer. Just make sure you cover everything asked for in the instructions and the rubric.
