Fitchburg State University - MBA in Finance
#1
Has anyone attended Fitchburg State University's MBA program?

Couple of questions:

1. What do the typical weekly assignments consist of?

2. What is the time commitment for a single course each week?

3. Would you recommend taking one or two classes at a time?

4. Do you feel like you received a quality business education?

5. Were the professors responsive to emails?

This is a link to the program: https://online.fitchburgstate.edu/degree...a/finance/

Thank you!

Don't have the answer. But just curious, have you explore these two AACSB MBA that are similar in price and possible duration of 1 year?

LSU Shreveport  https://online.usi.edu/online/bus-mba-lp-201101/
University of Southern Indiana https://online.lsu.edu/online-degree-pro...-business/

You might want to do a search on the forum or even the sister board, maybe check some online rants or reviews about the institution, I would recommend keeping your options open, have a couple or three as your top choices and then have a couple or three as backups... I don't really have answers either, just wanted to also point out there is a sticky thread in the grad section, here with options for you to select from that are either AACSB or ACBSP: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...der-1-Year

If they live in New England Fitchburg State will be a recognized name and possibly go further than these 2.

I live in Tennessee.

Some of the schools I've been looking at are Fitchburg State, Northern Kentucky University, Eastern New Mexico University, and one my friend recommended Rogers State University.

Really looking to specialize in Finance but also open to accounting.

Hi!

If you're interested in a master's of Finance (not MBA), Uni of Texas at Permian Basin and Uni of the Cumberlands (in Kentucky, close to Tennessee) could be good options for 11-12k. Fully online, RA accredited from brick and mortar schools and cheaper than Fitchburg.

I actually got my Master's in Information Systems Security from the University of the Cumberlands. Really wanting to get an MBA over a Master's in Finance for what I'm wanting to do.

People need to look at their overall goal and what educational journey is best for them, MBA might be 'king' for Business Administration, but what if you're going into Organizational Leadership, Other types of Management such as Construction, Supply Chain, Project Management, etc. MBA's are a dime a dozen... Some people like to have a program that has programmatic or secondary accreditation but not necessarily the MBA, they can always select those that have AACSB or ACBSP programs.
