Managerial Communication is needed. You can't replace it with an ALEKS math course. For managerial communication, there is Business Communication from SL, Workplace Communication with Computers from Uexcel, and Corporate Communication from Saylor. An ALEKS course can be used as an intellectual and practical skills elective. If you're uncomfortable with the Environmental Ethics TECEP, then the DSST for Ethics in America should be easier for the ethics requirement. There are plenty of easier diversity tests to choose from for the Personal and Social Responsibility Elective such as the Intro to Sociology CLEP. You listed Marketing Communications twice.
Uexcels have a $50 testing fee for the 2-hour versions. For the few 3-hour versions left, the testing fee is $60. This is on top of the test fee, which will be $95 for the 2-hour tests. There is really no need to take any Uexcels unless you want some graded credits on an Excelsior transcript. Federal Income Taxation is known as being an easy TECEP. The Public Relations Thought and Practice TECEP counts as marketing and should be easier than the Security Analysis and Portfolio Management TECEP. Don't waste it on business electives. The TEEX courses are free and can be used for business electives. You can earn 3 free credits through NFA for free electives. With the Kaplan course, that will cover the 6 credits of free electives.

Please take a look at the degree plans I linked to above because there are so many more options. I would definitely recommend DSST Business Ethics and Society over SL Business Ethics because the test is so easy. I just took it a couple of months ago.

Oops, sorry. Knew Managerial Communication was needed but overlooked it while working through the list. So much for replying in between studies. :p
Edited version....

Sanantone, would that be correct?

That's correct. The OP needs to replace Marketing Communications anyway since it's in two spots.

My questions are:
- What are Teex? I tried searching it to understand, but I don't how to use it nor do I know what courses to take for business electives? and what is NFA?
- What are some good electives to test out on?
- I'm not really into Natural Science, would you guys be kind to recommend different courses that will equal up to 6credits?
I originally picked out 'security analysis and portfolio analysis' and 'marketing research' because I think they would interesting and add a lot to my knowledge, however, if they are difficult and time consuming I would take them at a later time (As in after I completed my bachelors, which I wouldn't mind doing at all)
Thank you all

Do you really want to take that Uexcel for Weather and Climate? I wouldn't say it's super easy, but the CLEP for Biology is worth 6 credits. It's definitely easier than Chemistry and doesn't cover as much material as the Natural Science CLEP. Environment and Humanity is a really easy DSST. The Intro to Astronomy DSST is doable. These will be cheaper options than the Uexcel.
You listed Money and Banking as a TECEP; it's a DSST. You can't use Saylor Intro to Computer Science and the DSST Intro to Computing. They duplicate. If you're looking for quick and easy for the general management area of study, then you should focus on the marketing TECEPs. You should move Marketing Communications to the area of study and take something else as a gen ed elective. Just make sure you have the 8 TECEPs needed for the Per Credit Tuition Plan.
TEEX is an extension of Texas A&M. They mostly offer continuing education courses and technical training. When people refer to TEEX here, they are talking about their free cybersecurity courses that are ACE-evaluated for credit. You can earn up to 6 credits and use them as business electives.
http://www.degreeforum.net/general-educa...-teex.html
NFA (National Fire Academy) offers 3 free online courses that are ACE-evaluated for credit. They are Q118, Q137, and Q318. Each course is worth 3 credits; these can be used as free electives.

When I created my plan, I did it in a specific order:
1) 8 TECEP's needed for residency, including all Upper Level courses I could get ($111 each)
2) TEEX courses (free)
3) NFA courses (free)
4) Kaplan PLA course (free)
5) ALEXS math courses needed ($20)
6) Saylor courses ($25 each)
7) CLEP/DSST exams
I planned them in this order, for pricing reasons obviously, and am doing (or already did) the free/cheap courses first. I did not do any Straighterline courses because I am a bit of a procrastinator, and knew that I would not finish a course in a month, so it would start to cost too much to do it that way. But obviously everyone is different. If I was going to do SL, I think I would try the "bundle" option that they have to reduce costs. And also try to complete several similar courses in a single month (macro/micro econ, accounting, etc.).
I also tried to plan out courses that were similar to each other to make studying for them easier (American Govt CLEP/Intro to Western Political Thought SAYLOR/Intro to Comparative Politics TECEP - not 100% overlap, but enough so that studying for them all at once made a lot of sense). I also tried to group together DSST/CLEP exams the same way, because I have to drive 45 minutes to take one, so I'd rather take 2-3 at the same time.
Anyway, I suggest you play with your list over the next few weeks, especially as you the read the forum and find out more tidbits of info that make the light bulb go on in your head. That's what I did, and it helped a lot. Put it in an Excel Spreadsheet and use color-coding to differentiate! And plan out what makes the most sense for you, after you have information overload from this forum!
Good luck!

Its been a while fellas. First of all I would like to thank you all very much for taking the time you took to help me understand and build this college plan
For many reasons I wasn't able to start until now, I am now taking College Algebra, Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, and currently registering to get the corporate communications at Saylor started.
Here is my college Plan After all the edits you guys suggested, I would like some additional advise if there is any, and feel free to point out any discrepancy:
General Education (60 Credits)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
A. Intellectual & Practical Skills (15 Credits)
- English Composition I & II [CLEP] – 6c
- College Algebra [ALEKS] – 3c
- Corporate Communications [SAYLOR] – 3c
- Elective: Intermediate Algebra [ALEKS] – 3c (!)
B. Human Culture and the Physical and Natural World (18 Credits)
- Macroeconomics [CLEP] – 3c
- Microeconomics [CLEP] – 3c
- Principle of Statistics [ALEKS] – 3c
- Elective 1: Analyzing and Interpreting Literature [CLEP] – 6c
- Elective 2: Organizational Behavior [DSST] – 3c
C. Personal and Social Responsibility (9 Credits)
- Diversity/Global Literacy: Human Cultural Geography [DSST] – 3c
- Responsible Ethical Leadership: Intro to Sociology [CLEP] -3c
- Elective: Ethics in America [DSST] -3c
D. General Education Electives (18 Credits)
- Technical Writing [DSST] – 3c
- Natural Science [CLEP] – 6c
- Marketing Communications [TECEP] – 3c (!)
- Intro to Computing [DSST] – 3c
- Environment and Humanity – 3c (!)
Professional Business (60 Credits)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
A. Business Core (18 Credits)
- Principles of Finance [PF] – 3c
- Business Law [CLEP: Introductory to Business Law] – 3c
- Business Ethics in Society [DSST] – 3c
- Strategic Management [PF] – 3c
- Intro to Computer Science I [SAYLOR] – 3c
- Introduction to Marketing [SAYLOR] – 3c
- Principles of Financial Accounting [SL] – 3c
- Principles of Managerial Accounting [SL] – 3c
- Principles of Management [SAYLOR] – 3c
B. Area of Study: BSBA in General Management (18 Credits)
- Accounting: Federal Income Taxation [TECEP] – 3c
- Finance: Money and Banking [DSST] – 3c
- Marketing: Advertising [TECEP] – 3c
- Marketing: Public Relations Thought and Practice [TECEP] – 3c
- Management: Management Information Systems [DSST] – 3c
- Management: Human Resources Management [DSST] – 3c
- Elective 1: Teex – 3c
- Elective 2: Teex - 3c
- Elective 3: NFA– 3c
Free Electives (6 Credits)
- NFA – 6c
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thats all, the courses I have with the red ! next to them is where I would probably need help. For one, it was recommended I move Marketing Communications from General Electives to the Area of Study, should I take out Advertising [TECEP]?
Secondly, under General Electives, If I opt for Biology (6 Credits), does that mean I can drop one of the fellow tests under the General Electives? At this point I am leaning toward Environment and Humanity as suggested by Sanantone, seems like it would be a bit easier for me!
Third, the Intermediate Algebra, isn't that a level below College Algebra or am I mistaken. Just double checking, I'm okay as long as it doable.
Any other suggestions are welcome thank you all so much!
