I added this to the degreeforum wiki but thought I'd give a heads up here. For anyone that's in Washington state, the Washington State Library has a free technical certificate program in which you can take plenty of exams free of charge. ACE recommends credit for most of the exams that the library pays for. Feel free to add any course equivalencies to the table.

I wrote a suggestion to SPL about possibly expanding learning access to programs like Sophia, Coursera, and/or study.com. By sheer coincidence, I got in touch with the person who started this program at WSL. She said that SPL should start offering waivers for these exams again sometime soon and that she's looking into possibly expanding SPL's offerings to include the programs that I mentioned. The latter won't happen for the next year (at least) due to budget constraints but be on the lookout for SPL possibly providing free ACE recommended courses. For the time being use WSL for scheduling your exams.
Also if anyone knows of library partnerships in the US with ACE/NCCRS recommended course programs let me know. It would be good information to share with her re the possibility of SPL expanding their offerings to include online courses. I know of the ones in California and Indiana but that's it.
