62 on History II but school req's 65
#1
My school requires a 65 for the History II exam and I fell just short of that mark. It's going to be pretty rough to get a higher grade on that test.

As you know many schools only require a 50 for passing the CLEP. My school explained that I can transfer this CLEP in if it's on the transcript of another school who does not list it as a CLEP. Anyone know a school that does that does not use the word "CLEP" on their transcripts?

I have quite a few CLEPS, Dantes, SAT Subject tests .... Would getting an associates help ensure my current "brick and mortar" school accepts credits towards my bachelors? If so, what school do you recommend?

Thanks for any help - it's frustrating to be disappointed in a score of 62 !

Hi and welcome! I'm so sorry to hear that your school has such high testing scores. It doesn't seem to make sense to me - you would think that they either accept the test or they don't, rather than choosing some arbitrary number for a pass.... *sigh* oh well, I guess complaining won't do any good.

COSC transcripts read something like this:

Name of Institution: College Level Examination Program
Test name here/score credits granted

I'm not sure if you'll find any school that won't have some variation of this, but you might want to check with FHSU. I know many members have transcripted their Straighterline credits through FHSU, and it only costs $35 for this. It might not work, but at least it wouldn't cost much to try.

I'm sure others will pop on to describe how the other of the Big 3 list the CLEPs.
