Instantcert Questions?
#1
Hello everyone,
Sorry, I am a bit new to this forum/site and am in search of some answers. I am about to head off to Baylor this next fall and was desiring to find out the differences between CLEP, DANTES/DSST exams, and ECE exams? I would love to get ahead of the bunch by taking some CLEP tests, but was wondering if instantcert could be my only source to a passing grade? Throughout high school, I took Advance Placement courses and retained information of history, sciences, and math subjects. Would investing some money within REA, COMEX, Collegeboard CLEP guide, or even Princeton Review or Barrons Clep books be needed in conjuction with Instantcert or will Instancert allow me to pass with perfection? In addition, Instantcert looked the most user friendly and best qualified preparation tool in comparison to Speedyprep (the other site in which caught my eye). But is there a better source out there? Thanks!
Kind Regards,

Welcome.

First and foremost, you need to find out if your intended school (Baylor) will accept testing out for credit and, if so, which ones. Some schools are very specific and have a list of which test equates to which course equivalent and how many credits. Some state-run schools have a list set by the state. Some allow you to chose but limit the number of credits you can have.

From there, make sure to pay for the membership here as it not only gives you access to the Instant Cert study information, which is in many cases enough, but there is also then access to another forum, the Specific Exam Forum, where there are posts very specific to the exam. In that forum, you will find more information to focus on, suggestions on whether Wikipedia and other searches are enough, suggestions on where to focus, or whether additional texts were necessary or helpful.

Ultimately, it DOES have to do with YOUR experience or prior exposure, but no one can measure that but you.

this link displays the CLEP tests allowed for credits at Baylor, but I am still currently finding out if there is a certain cap off on the limit of CLEP credits. I think I will try instantcert out for those select few exams!

:iagree: IC is "tha bomb" so to speak. The forum is worth the price itself because it gives you "near-real-time intel" on what you will face in the test.
