I'm thinking of my family in Sarasota and Orlando, Florida.

Wishing everyone in the path of Hurricane Milton to stay safe!

We are monitoring developments and making necessary preparations for evacuation, just in case.

Monitor the situation as it unfolds... Hope for the best! Prepare for the worst, stay in a designated safety area like a community center, library, hospital if needed...

Latest update:

Forecasts predict storm surges that could exceed 12 feet for Hurricane Milton. The record for storm surge was set by Hurricane Katrina, which reached 15 to 19 feet, according to FEMA.

“You do not have to get on the interstate and go far away,” Gov. Ron DeSantis told a news conference, assuring residents there would be enough gasoline to fuel their cars for the trip. “You can evacuate tens of miles. You do not have to evacuate hundreds of miles away. You do have options.”
