Just curious. Anyone have plans to go see the final HP movie? It's probably crazy, but I'm going to try to do an extended lunch tomorrow and see it. I'll miss the denizens of Harry Potter world. With life seeming so specialized - with niches for every interest - it was nice to share something with a large group of people. The cast seemed like nice folks, and the author really seems like a decent person.

My little girl loves Harry Potter, she'll probably go see with her mom. I have to wait until the Afghans bring us the bootleg copies a day or two after it comes out in theaters. hilarious

I'm planning on taking my kids next weekend. We are hoping the crowds will slim down a little by then. We are going to go see it in 3-D and the we only have one IMAX theater about 40 miles away from us. I hear it is worth the wait. I will miss the whole series though. I have enjoyed entire storyline.

My oldest daughter and I make it a Daddy/daughter date for each new release. Heven't missed any, usually go opening night. We are rather bummed that this is the last scheduled release.
We chatted briefly about how they could do a prequal that we could go see in a few years. Out of the blue she says I will have to fly to New York so we can go see it together....Do what????
Kid has big plans.....made me tear up a bit
She grew up way too fast, right before my eyes!
We are gonna make a day of this release!

My favorite of the whole series is book 1, hands down. Movie 1 was an excellent stand alone movie (though only 50% as good as the book imo!)
Sadly, I missed part 1 of movie 7, so I'm hoping my movie theater will do a double feature so we can watch parts 1 and 2 back to back!

Saw HP7, Part II today in IMAX 3D. It was great! My son thought they left out some important info from book 7, but it was a very good movie. I was so sad to see the series come to an end. Both of my kids, 18 and 13 have grown up with these characters and books so we are all a little sad. I hadn't read any of the books, because I'm usually let down when they turn books I enjoyed into movies. Now I'm anxious to break out the books and start reading them to see how they compare. I highly recommend this movie in IMAX 3D, as the entire movie just came right off the screen and really made you feel a part of the movie.

Went to the premiere, whenever that was
I liked it a lot! I'll have to watch them again, but I'm pretty sure I liked the first part of 7 better.

I'm not a fan of Harry Potter, but I thought this was kind of interesting:
