I had trouble getting my DSST credits posted to my community college (CC) transcript. I called DSST and they confirmed they'd been sent to the right school. They even sent them again.
But my CC assured me they hadn't received them. I called DSST again and got the complete details, person's name, address, building, room number, etc. I went to the room in question today. The woman DSST sent the transcripts to hasn't worked for the CC in a long time. No one would open any mail sent to her because they thought it would be a violation of privacy.
A sympathetic staff member went to the mail room and found the most recent DSST transcript envelope. The dufus in charge said it couldn't be opened citing privacy concerns. She also said I needed to contact the former employee and have her contact DSST to resolve the name and address problem. The staff member with common sense insisted that the envelope from DSST be opened immediately. No surprise, it was my transcript. The registrar of the CC personally called me at home tonight and assures me that the course credit from DSST will appear on my transcript in the morning.
