Looking for some advice and direction. After way to many years I am trying to once and for all finish my Bachelor's. I had previously been enrolled at UOP but had to take an extended due to life getting too busy. At the point I stopped taking classes with them I had completed all of the upper level requirements for their BSBM degree and had only about 20 lower level/general ed requirements which I had planned on testing out of. I recently contacted them about completing my degree and was told due to the length of time I have been out of the program I would now have to complete another 24 units of upper level classes, needless to say I decided there must be a better option.

So here I am considering transferring to Excelsior, wondering if anyone else has been in my shoes and knows if they will accept the 100 units I have already completed through UOP and my local community college. So worried that I will wind up starting all over again.

Excelsior is very flexible about accepting credits. But the best way to find out exactly how much they'll take would be to apply and get the transcripts sent over to them. Once they get all the transcripts in, they'll give you the results of the initial eval and you can go from there.

Have you looked at the catalog for Excelsior to see what they require for the degree and compared it to what you've already gotten done? This should give you a a good idea as well, but the only way to know is the drop the $75 and apply.

Edit - Oh yeah, they won't accept any Business course credits over 20 years old, and if you have any technology credits over 10 years old, you'll likely have to file an appeal form to get those accepted. (For business degrees, the same does *not* apparently hold true for Liberal Studies)

They are very good at accepting old credits some of mine were 35 years old when TESC took them. If you only need about 20 more you could get an unofficial Eval from them for $75 then do not enroll untill you are within one year of graduation. Take all your test send to TESC and grad paying only one year tuition.
