Help! Best way to complete my ba**
#1
Hello, new here :-)
Looking to get advice as to which way I should proceed to complete my BA. I
am currently enrolled @ Brandman U. I have been taking classes on and off
since 2004. It seems I am never going to finish. I have 9 classes to go with
Brandman towards a BAS in Liberty Studies. I am attaching the courses I have
complete. I am a LT LDO in the Navy and have been serving since 1999(15
yrs). I am on deployment in Bahrain and spoke to a counselor on base, sad to
say I was a little late as she is transferring within the next couple of
days. She mentioned Excelsior, so I did an unofficial review towards the same
degree and they came back with 33 credits to complete it with them. She also
mentioned something about test I can take with Thomas Edison? things got a
little fuzzy during our meeting so I was not able to get the info I needed.
Although she did say there is ways to get my degree much faster, I am at
odds as to which way to go :-( All I'm trying to do is get my degree to
convert over to a unrestricted officer. Other than CLEPS, Any advice that can save me some
time would be appreciated.

Thanks and all the best,

I don't see anything on your list from your JST. Did you submit it for evaluation? My JST resulted in several credits for my training separate from my DLI transcripts.

There are DSSTs as I'm sure you know... some of which count for upper level credit. I don't believe any CLEP tests count for upper level credit.

I'd have an evaluation completed at Thomas Edison State College and see who gives you the best outcome. I can provide a more substantive response when I get to work.

But in the interim, why did you choose that degree? And are you willing to change your major to accomplish this quickly or are you more interested in spending extra time to graduate with this major.
Don't miss out on something great just because it might also be difficult.

Try reposting in the Excelsior, Thomas Edison, and Charter Oak Specific section so you can get more responses.

Would you mind listing the classes you took for your AA in Aviation Technology as well? It looks like you are well on your way to a BA in Liberal Studies from TESC, but it would be helpful to see your other classes too.
