The FEMA credits are great. I'd choose courses based on what Frederick Community College awards credit for. (They do award credit for the PDS series.)

If all of those courses apply to your program and none duplicate credit, I think I'd ditch either Astronomy (no IC flashcards) or Tech Writing. With your business background, Tech Writing should be a slam-dunk. You don't need the extra science credits for astronomy, right?

You just saved the day! I can replace race to save the planet with astronomy. I did need the math/science classes and didn't even think to put astronomy in the science category. I'll check the ECE manual just to be sure. Then I will get rid of the tech writing since there is no IC cards and just use sparks for the astronomy.

I took a day off from studying today, but did plan on doing the professional series and then finding 7 more credits to take from the FCC approved ones.

From your list, the only test I've taken is Criminal Justice. It's an odd test because, as an adult, you'll recognize most of the material just from having been alive and watching the news and maybe a few crime shows--but it's not easy to score high. However, with minimal study--I did pass and the actual MATERIAL I would rank as the easiest exam I've taken. So, what I'm saying is that I believe you could pass this test with minimal study--but your score probably won't be particularly high.

Thanks, I'll keep it! I planned on doing the intro to law enforcement and that will go along with it. I'll have several days to study so it should work out pretty well.

From the sound of it, you could do well by looking into the portfolio credit as well. Has anyone ever gone this route? It's like the elephant in the room for people with large amounts of past work exerience, but I never see it mentioned?

I studied onlie sparknotes for only 2 1/2 hours the night before the Astronomy Dantes exam and passed with an A. It is not difficult. Go to sparknotes.com and study the astronomy section. Then take their few practice quizzes for each section. If you remember this info then you will do fine. There is no IC for astronomy. You will feel like you are failing the entire time you are testing, but don't worry. just believe in yourself. You can do it.

I had no prior instruction in Astronomy at all.
