I completed my academic autobiography recently and had it approved and received a pretty good grade. If you have specific questions, I'd be happy to answer them. Just let me know what information you need.
To give a brief overview, my AA was a little over a 1,000 words (close to four pages). I went through my academic career chronologically, highlighting classes and tests from my general education requirements and some from my concentration (that was mostly covered in my CPS, which was already approved). I tried to integrate how important each of these classes were for my personal and/or professional needs (ie - Adolescent Psychology not only helped me counsel clients in my job more effectively, it also gave me insight into my son's development).
Charter Oak State College GRADUATE (I can finally say that as of 05/31/08)!!
Concentration - Psychology
Tests Completed:
CLEP: Introductory Sociology - 65
DSST: Drug and Alcohol Abuse - 61
Here's to Your, Health - 66
Fundamentals of Counseling - 67
Charter Oak Tests: Infant and Toddler Development
Child Developmental Psychology
Introduction to Early Childhood Education (all passed, worth 3 credits each)
Psychology GRE: 62nd percentile, 18 credits

I've had a wonderful experience with COSC. I've loved working with all of my class mentors (well...almost all), my advisor, and the staff at Charter Oak. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about my experience.
I took the portfolio review class last semester (required before you submit your portfolio and VERY helpful), so it was a bit later on in my educational career. I only submitted it for three credits, because it turned out that was just about all I needed to graduate after my other classes and tests. There is no limit on the number of credits you can apply for in your portfolio review. However...for every three/four credit class, you have to submit a great deal of written support and documentation, so gaining more than about 12 credits is probably not a typical expectation, though I am sure it has been done.

I graduate on July 31 BS Individualized Studies.
I enrolled with COSC in 12/07 with some college courses, my navy smart transcript and computer certifications.
Less than a year later, some Excelsior College courses and many DSST/CLEP tests I was able to finish.
Thank you ALL!!! Without you guys and instantcert I would of not been able to do it.
