Thanks for all of the information. I like the idea of my son taking the CJ and Intro to Law Enforcement exams first to see if there really is an interest. He may do well on the computer one as well.
I know I've seen a Criminal Justice degree plan somewhere on this site. Can someone lead me in the right direction?

REA books are also great, some are better than others. Free CLEP Prep gives a good guideline as to whether or not the REA book is good for a certain subject.
Definitely use the Official CLEP Study Guide. It has a practice test for each subject, and it's are really good indicator of how ready you are for a test. It doesn't matter which year you get as long as it's 2011 or newer. (The College Composition test is new from 2010.)
All the other resources mentioned are excellent too!!
