This is the responce I got today from Excelsior. It looks like you do have to take online courses and not just exams. I'll have to refigure my cost analysis and see if there are any courses cheap enough to do this. Also now that they have federal financial aid it might work out anyway. Just wanted to share the information.

If you go to the home page of our website and click on Partners on the right side of the page, you go to our Partnership page and see a list of our partnerships on the right side. Click on POAG. When you get to the POAG page, look to the right and in the box for Forms for POAG click on POAG tuition and fee schedule. This will show you the fees you will pay as a member of POAG. Once you have completed your application for admission, you will be able to enroll for $150. You will have to complete a minimum of 9 credits in online courses before you graduate.
I hope this information is helpful. Please contact us again with any questions.
Sincerely,

If I choose Excelsior, and they do not accept my TESC Database Management course via Credit Bank, then I will have to take 2 courses with Excelsior. Perhaps if I need to take a 3rd, I can keep this in mind. Thanks for following up!

At the very least, it is a good way to defer your fees until you are ready to apply for graduation.
That is what I will do. I do not plan to take 12 unitsd at Excelsior. I will only be taking the twop required 1 unit courses at Excelsior.

So you could use this to get a discount on enrollment fees, but if you didnt take the 12 credits you would have to pay the difference of the full enrollment fee before graduation?

I may try this. I will probably take 12 credits with EC as I want to use financial aid.
Has anyone actually gotten this discount yet?

Do any of the other schools have discounts similar to these?

TESC has their Military Degree Completion Program (MDCP). It lets all the military guys and gals sign up and only pay the $75 enrollment fee. No annual tuition or anything like that. Plus, people in that program get a special tuition rate that includes books. It's a pretty sweet deal. The only catch is that you have to take 12 credits through TESC, either in classes, TECEP's, PLA's, etc...

Hello Hawkguy, Did I hear you say that TESC will pay for your books and let you take their own exams under MDCP that they offer?
I have not signed up with with , only with E.C would it than be a better plan than say perhaps ECs Military program?

Looks like I'll have to call...every time I call Excelsior, I get sent around and around until I find someone that handles what I need done...
