I realize that the majority of the forum participants here have a specific degree plan that they are working toward, so some or all of the for-credit exams you take might already be prescribed.
However, I'm in a situation where my advisor has informed me that my remaining credits can be on any subject that's not already on the transcript, and upper or lower division doesn't matter.
After reading the forums here (specifically the "easiest exams" post), reviewing the individual exam feedback forum, looking at the IC study material, and reaching into the deep recesses of my brain where only Trivial Pursuit knowledge lives, I think I have the potential to be the most successful with 2 of the following CLEP exams:
Introductory Business Law
Introductory Sociology
Principles of Marketing
Spanish Language
So my question is -- how do you choose which exams to take, when you have the option for free electives? Maybe getting a window into your decision-making process might help me (and other readers) with mine.
Thanks!!
Kimberly

Since all four of your choices are CLEPs, I would just try the practice exams in the Official Guide, and take the two I scored the highest on.

If your school accepts, FEMA first - test later! Grab all the easy free stuff you can first.
You can't fail if you never give up

Well, of the exams you list, the first 3 are all 3 credit exams, but you can earn up to 12 with Spanish! I'd take Spanish because even a low pass is worth 6 creidts and gives you 1 test to take instead of two!

This might sound totally crazy but when I have to choose between different tests to satisfy the same requirement I normally will read through some of the study resources and the one that doesn't totally confuse me is the one I lean toward. I recently took Sociology and Human Development and though the info I had to study was new information the concepts made sense enough for me to understand them. I am studying Biology right now and since I have NO Science background. I am going to have to really study and probably get a High School student to explain some of it to me. That one will be at the end of my testing run.
Run through a Peterson practice test (or other old) and see how you do. Go with your gut then study like crazy anyway! I look forward to hearing your results.

I’ll just echo everyone else. I mostly pick what I’m good at- English or Social Sciences. Those are easier for me and I like to study them (which helps when you gave a lot of information to take in). I also look at the study information and if one looks easier for me to grasp than another, I pick that one.
Now that I’m at the point of having to take specific exams, (and those exams only) it kinds of stinks. It was fun in the beginning and now I just want to be done- I’m down to the (for me) not-so-fun subjects.
I'm done!

Tests passed: A/I Lit-73, Mgmt-71, Amer Lit-73, Tech Writing-64, Criminal Justice-56, Here's to Your Health-65, Law Enforcement-60

Would you recommend me take the Sociology test or Human Growth? Which was the easiest for you. Thanks

Based on your post, it looks like you need <10 credits.
I would seriously consider FEMA. You could already be done by now via FEMA testing and FCC transcript service (yes, it really is that easy - more specifically, 1 credit per hour). It's $60/credit but sometimes closure is worth it.
Just my 2 cents...
