Is it possible?
#1
Is it possible to clep out of this degree other than the 18 accounting credits that are required? I would prefer to take the accounting courses. I was originally thinking of doing the organizational leadership program due to no precalculus but read a post that inspired me to go for what I really want to do.

Take a look at the TECEP exams listing as well. TESC offers those for some classes in that degree that CLEP or DSST does not.

Managerial/Business communications must be taken as a class, or you could utilize the PLA method. There is no testing out of that class. I just verified that with an advisor last week. I'm not sure if there is a class that you could take someplace besides TESC that they would transfer in for credit for that class, but you are still taking a class vs. testing out.

But, you are right, you could test out of the majority of that degree.

It looks like maybe you need some more time to decide what degree you want. And that's alright. You are free to change your mind as many times as you want. You would not believe the number of times I've changed direction....

Here is my suggestion. Line up a bunch of the requirements for several of the degrees you may want. (Accounting, Organizational Management, whatever) See what required courses/tests are the SAME in all of them. Take those tests.

Example: maybe your top 4 favorite degrees all need Calculus. Take a Calculus test/class. Maybe you need Financial Accounting for all 4, take that. Sprinkle in for fun 1-2 off-beat choices to make sure you are doing what you want.

This should give you another month or so to buckle down and pick a direction. Just don't do this for too long, or you'll end up with some credits you can't use. Not the end of the world surely.
