Saylor Transfer Equivalencies

Hey, I'm currently on track to complete my 90 outside credits to earn a degree in BLS Management but with Instantcert and CLEP exam studying taking a while. I was wondering if the majority of Saylor courses are transferable to UMPI.

Here are the main Saylor courses I'm looking at to see if they transfer

POLSC101: Introduction to Political Science

ENGL001: English Composition I

ENGL002: English Composition II

BUS305: Small Business Management

I wouldn't go with Saylor as they are not transferring into UMPI as courses that fulfill GEC requirements. Many are coming in as general electives. Stick with Sophia and Study or complete the courses at UMPI. Only 1 of the courses you list has transferred to UMPI and it came in as an elective not POS101.

InstantCert credits won't be available after the end of the month. If you take them now, you can still use them later. But InstantCert is going to stop offering exams in 2023.

English Comp I & II are extremely easy 

1 is a research paper and a reflection essay 
2 is a annotated bibliography 

I don't know how much these are going to change with the transition to brightspace but now they are very easy. 

Business 312 Advanced Operations Management from SDC transfers as BUS 415 operations management at UMPI 

Which class do you want to transfer the political science class as? If you want it to fulfill the American Government GEC requirement, it would probably be better to take it at UMPI or take the CLEP test. I took the CLEP before I knew which school I would attend, but since everyone here says that it is easy at UMPI, I probably would just take it there.

ENGL001 and ENGL002 are not ACE-recommended for credit - Saylor has a ton of courses on their site, all free, and most are not ACE-recommended for credit. So you need to be careful to only work on courses that are.
