How do you honestly list extra coursework on your resume?
Do you:
- Use labels like “Focus,” “Emphasis,” or “Cluster” (e.g., Focused Coursework under your degree)?
- Create a “Relevant Coursework” section?
- Fold it into the Skills or Experience section?
- Include it in a Projects section?
- Leave it off entirely?
Example Format:
Quote:Bachelor of Science in Marketing
Academic Emphasis in Data Analytics
Curious how others handle it.

In my undergrad, we were told to group them into a preselected, but unofficial, specialization. I also include a spot for capstone or thesis/dissertation if that was included in my degree.
This leaves alot for be desired for coursework that did not lead to a degree or fell outside of the specilizations.

Unless the course completes a recognized concentration or focus on a diploma or fulfills a certificate program, I leave off extra courses. In reality, most of the time, the degree is a check box. No one cares about which classes you completed usually. Listing classes would take up valuable real estate on a resume.

It wouldn't be necessary to list it, I would be happy with just the BACS and BSBA. During your interview, you may want to answer questions related to your education only when asked, that's the only time I would bring up the concentration or emphasis when it's really needed.

It would depend on what I was trying to do with it, but mostly I'd convert that learning to a credential and list the credential. If it's pertinent and recent (and I know my letter is getting read), I might discuss non-degree graduate coursework in a cover letter, but I haven't actually done that yet. I *cough* have difficulty keeping my resume under two pages, so it's easy to leave things out...
