UIUC IMSM is a great option if you can get the 70% scholarship! I wonder if anyone on the board was able to get that, the most I've seen was someone go to the second interview but ultimately wasn't provided a scholarship.  Hmm, a top 5 or top 10 institution and a degree for under $4.5K because of a scholarship, it's something I'm looking forward to, maybe next year when I save up some cashflow...

BJ, I think I mentioned this before, but maybe not. I have family that work at UIUC as it is just down the road from me. The 70 percent scholarship is intended for folks from Illinois with verified need.... Think someone who comes from broken homes, or who are otherwise financially underprivileged... think of folks with great grades but on food stamps. It isn't just a UIUC program either, it extends to all state schools.

Point is, while anyone can apply for it, your chances of getting said scholarship are nil if you are not both an Illinois resident and near destitute.

I asked about the 70% scholarship and though they did not tell me not to apply, the vibes and wording were such that I did not bother applying.
