Is there anyone who can help me map out a plan and guide me?

Things have changed so much since I got my degree at TESC now it is even called something different TESU. I would suggest you look on the degree forum wiki, if I remember Sanantone did some new requirements equivalency plans on there. What I do see is you did lots of FEMA credit which TESU no longer takes and you seem to have some recurring credits like intro to Sociology.

Oral Comm - Look into DSST and SL. From posts, it looks like DSST may be less work, but SL is easier.

Info Lit - Technical Writing TECEP may be an easy option.

Research Methods / Stats - I'm not that familiar with this requirement. ECE and Study.com have research methods for psych that may work here. ALEKS has Stats, but it can be one of the more difficult ones.

Wow, I didnt realize that they changed it to TESU now or that they no longer take the FEMA credits! Man, I really should have done this 6 years ago. They were SO much easier then and there was no CAPSTONE! Ugh!

I just noticed, too, that in my Academic Eval, they are saying I need 3 credits of ORAL COMMUNICATIONS. However, I took and got credited for Speech Communcations and they have it listed under GE Electives at the bottom instead. Do you think I can dispute this? I think it would be better to have my Speech Communications class added to the top where it belongs and be free to take whatever GE elective I want, no???

They did the same thing with CIVIL ENGAGEMENT. I could have used my American Government class for that, right? But they put American Govnt class that I took under GE Electives instead?

Seems so odd that they would do that when both of these classes were exact matches for what I needed? I hope I can easily move that around so I can take 2 GE Electives of my choice instead.

Thoughts??

This is your third thread asking the same question, and the plan I made that you've mentioned addresses all of this (except for the general ed stuff, which other users replied to, and have addressed elsewhere on this forum and on the wiki).

I'm sorry and bummed that you don't like my plan, but when it comes to Sociology electives, you're pretty much stuck to what I've found. It's exhaustive, as far as testout options go.

If it doesn't work for you, you'll have to go a more traditional route, or change your area of study.

The good news is that the general ed options are all very easily resolved.

It sounds like youre taking this personal. Dont. As for the Electives, most of them are Jewish related classes and I just thought that there might possibly be more options since I have no interest in those so I posed the question in another thread, no big deal! lol

As for my other questions posed, it seems that my Academic Eval swapped out 2 very specific classes that I took that satisfied ORAL COMMUNICATION AND CIVIL ENGAGMENT and moved them to GE Electives, which confused me so I thought some posters might have an insight or suggestion about that.

I see that youre a very seasoned poster JSD, so youll have to skip and scroll if the multiple threads of us novices annoys you, sorry.

I'm not taking it personal, I'm giving you options (for the third time). I love helping new folks, which is why I make the plans and reply. New people don't annoy me, people ignoring advice and asking the same thing annoys me. Sorry our answers don't suit you, but they are the answers. The general ed issues are already addressed.

As far as electives, I agree that Jewish studies are probably not the ideal route. But only 3 of the 12 options provided are from TorCC's jewish studies. Pick other options where applicable, use TorCC only if you absolutely have to.

If you can't make that work, you can look at more traditional options. This isn't me "taking it personally," it's me being helpful and you being ungrateful.

First of all, I dont appreciate the way youre speaking to me, even if you are 'helping'. Youre being very rude. Ive only been on this forum for not even 24 hours after a 6 year hiatus and have lots to figure out so youll have to forgive my 'repetitive questions'. If you'd like to help-fantastic, please be kind and respectful. Otherwise skip and scroll. I'll survive. Peace be with you, JSD!
