Intro Sociology CLEP 1st time test taker...Help

Hi, I am new to the forum and have been studying hard for the last few weeks and solid for 4 days now for the Sociology exam. I am supposed to take the test wednesday but am going to change it to Friday since I still do not feel ready. I am having such a hard time absorbing all of the info and am worried about not passing. In reviewing your list of items covered on the test, there are several that I do not recognize from any of my readings. I am using the REA Clep Prep, Spark Notes, and IC. I did one test from the REA book but felt alot of the questions were not even covered in the book. Several were statistics which i have not come across in any of my readings. I would really appreciate any feedback or suggestions you could provide.....this is my first CLEP and have no idea what to expect. I am still learning my way through this sight as well.

^ Good morning Kim, I would recommend taking a Peterson's test or two to gauge your readiness. I'm guessing with as much studying as you've done, that you'll be fine.

If you score 60-70% on Peterson's practice tests, you should be good to go. I took one "cold" and got a 70%, then read about a third of Essentials of Sociology: A Down to Earth Approach (good book, btw!) and used lui's notes above as a last minute cram and ended up passing with a 58.

Hi, I am new to this site and new to the world of CLEP exams. I have been studying for 4 weeks now and solid for the last 4 days to where my eyes hurt. I have the REA CLEP Prep book but feel like it does not cover everything that is covered in the IC flashcards. I am scheduled to take my test on Wednesday but am going to try and have it moved since I do not feel ready. There are so many questions that I can con not find answers to in my book. I would appreciate feedback on how to prepare for the test and what to expect. I see people mention Peterson tests but I am not sure where to find them either.

Hello Kim,

Intro to Sociology was the 1st CLEP that I had taken. For me it was the perfect starter CLEP. I highly recommend reviewing the specific feedback section.

Thank you! Could you please steer me in the direction of the specific feedback section. I am also new to this site and just now figured out how to create a new post but can not find alot of prior post on Sociology CLEP test takers.
