This is a very easy way to earn Humanities/arts & Science electives credits. I took Oral Proficiency Interview exam (OPI) exam in my native language. EC accepted this credit and awarded me 14 credits! There is no preparation required for this exam if you are fluent in the language.
thanks BS

Does anyone whether these tests are available to international candidates outside the US and Canada. And, would TESC award credit for them?

You can check with LTI if they can approve proctors outside the United states. I used my local librarian as my proctor. The proctor has to call the Tester from a land line phone. Thanks BS

Thank you for the responses. I was wondering, also, what the testing fees are. I took a look at the LTI website and it seems the fees are not stated. Do you know how mahy credit hour I am likely to get for testing YORUBA for example? Would this language be accepted by TESC? Yoruba is my MT and it is listed among the languages available for testing. And, what kind of questions are usually asked during the test? Am curious. Thanks
