I was wondering if a philosophy minor is possible at UMPI. The major issue looks to be if the PHI 150 - Introduction to Logic can be satisfied by an easy/cheap way to get credit.

According to the UMPI DB, Sophia's critical thinking comes in as HUM 103. Maybe it's possible that course could fulfill the PHI 150 requirement?
According to the UMPI DB, WGU's Critical Thinking and Logic course is equivalent to PHI 150. Also, the University of Phoenix's PHL 251 Critical Thinking transfer is accepted as PHI 150.
Has anyone ever pursued a philosophy minor?

Basically, If a student already has the requirements for transfer, they can get the minor in addition to what is offered on YourPace, students interested in a second minor that's not already in the Your Pace program should make that the second minor and have everything transferred in.

For RA credit - Dine College's Intro to Logic and Critical Thinking might work for that at $55/credit:
HUM 105 Introduction to Logic and Critical Thinking (3) - Introduction to basic principles of logical analysis. Students present and evaluate arguments in ordinary language using critical thinking and appropriate standards of evidence.
You could also do a reverse lookup on the course number PHI 150 to see other college's equivalent course - YMMV.
Looking at the ACE options, Saylor Academy's PHIL102: Introduction to Critical Thinking and Logic comes in as PHI 150 according to the UMPI transfer DB.
These are the courses that I can see as sourceable via ACE credit:
PHI 150 - Introduction to Logic --> Saylor Academy PHIL102: Introduction to Critical Thinking and Logic
PHI 151 - Introduction to Philosophy --> Study Introduction to Philosophy
PHI 152 - Introduction to Ethics --> Sophia Introduction to Ethics
ANT 110 - World Religions --> Study Intro to World Religions
POS 211 - Introduction to Political Thought --> Study Introduction to Political Science

Interesting. When I searched for 'Credly,' it indicated that the Saylor Critical Thinking and Logic course was credited as HUM 103. I wonder if it's one of those peculiar courses that can be recognized under two different course numbers depending on the context, or if it was evaluated differently.
Hopefully, it should work, though. Thanks.
