JumpCourse or SpeedyPrep

You're right - my bad! WE have a great pass rate.

Welcome to the forum Alexander.

Note that we don't generally allow self-promotion of other websites and businesses and we strictly moderate any backlinks (which is why I removed the direct link from your post).

Thank you.

AlexanderPO Wrote:That's a good question! Not too familiar with SpeedyPrep, but here's what I know about JumpCourse:

JumpCourse offers fully online, adaptive courses that are complete with 3-5 minute video lectures, an e-book, and practice activities to help you master the material. Self-paced and built on proven learning science principles, JumpCourse prepares students to pass the CLEP exam with a money-back guarantee. Each course also comes with a course coach in case you get stuck on the content. See what some students had to say about CLEP and JumpCourse:

One other important thing to mention is that JumpCourse also has courses recommended for college credit by the American Council on Education (ACE). This means that you can take a course + exam on your own time and at your own pace and earn credit towards your college or university. They also have a really helpful customer service team, so feel free to reach out if you have more questions.

I used SpeedyPrep for my CLEPs, before I knew about IC. It was really good. But it doesn't have DSSTs and it's $25 a month. IC is $20 and has DSSTs and some TECEPs, plus it also has the SEF. So I'd say IC is the better deal.

I don't like that it is expensive, but I'm wondering if it would be worth it compared to a regular course. Maybe the lesser of two evils?? Or sometimes time is money. Is it any faster?

Has anyone actually tried JumpCourse who can give us a report on what it's like? I just want to be open to the options. Thanks!

It is a study resource, not an actual course. So you would pay $99 to study for a CLEP exam, then pay the $80-$100 for the CLEP. It is not an actual for-credit course (and they do make that clear on their website).

This.
AND I'd like to see stats. How many people have tested each exam prep? Seriously, you don't even know if their study materials are aligned to the exam. If you want to pay, buy InstantCert and a used copy of the REA guide. If you don't have the money, use the Khan Academy and Saylor free resources.

Oh that makes sense now! I was thinking they were actually a course where we could get credit, like Straighterline, not just a study resource. Now I see why everyone is saying how crazy expensive it is. I agree!!
