Thanks for the information.
I just got my hands on my last transcript (I've been waiting on Central Texas College), and mailed it away today for the evaluation. Should have rests in 3-4 weeks (you know the drill).
I'll let you now as soon as I hear back from EC. I feel like I am in the final stage of some bizarre Japanese game show. heheheh
The tension mounts in the audience. Can we get a drum roll please...

Something very valuable that I learned in the military is: the exact time that many battles are won and lost is "in the meantime...".
How you spend the time while waiting for something else to happen is often the key to success or failure. In the Army, you clean and practice with weapons and rehearse tactics, preparing for the next battle. Civilian life is no different.
I've been waiting for transcripts to show up at EC... so I studied and took another test in the meantime. I encourage everyone to not just wait patiently for something to happen... do something else while you are waiting.
Make something happen. Press forward.
I took the DSST Substance Abuse test today. I earned a 445 and passed. That's three more credit hours, in the right direction!!!!

Great advice. I earned around 24 credits while I was waiting for EC to evaluate my transcript. Besides EC taking forever, one of my past schools held up the process with a very slow transcript.
Put the time to use, and when you get your evaluation you will be able to knock credits off the list the day you get it.
EC - BSLS Finally done!
Went from 86 to 120 credits in six weeks thanks to IC and the forum.
Currently doing MBA pre-reqs.
Now BSLS + 9 credits

What a painful test that was... I did pass though! :hurray:
Three more upper level credits.
I am still waiting on EC to get my transcripts rolled up. In the meantime, I press forward to the next test. It will probably be the CLEP College Mathematics.

I got Excelsior my preliminary assessment back today. They gave me 168 credit hours with a 3.48 grade average (not bad, considering most all of these tests I took in the Army while on deployment without any resources to study! A lot of my "c" grades will probably not be used for my degree anyway, so I expect the final GPA to be higher.
I have three tests completed while EC was adding these up, so I have nine more hours to add, American Hist. I, Substance Abuse, and Russian History.
I'm enrolling tomorrow, and then get a counselor to answer the $500,000 questions:
"What degree is the closest within my reach?" (probable answer, BS Lib Arts)
"What tests do I have to complete to finish that?" (probable answer, not many".
WOOOOHOOOOOO!!!! I'm rollin' now! Thanks for the support and encouragement guys!! :patriot:

Hi all. Took a long nap. LOL
I am working math through ALEKS and finished Info Literacy through Penn Foster. I also made my way through the required EC "Student Experience" class. Neither Info Literacy or Student Experience was much effort.
here is the last word EC sent regarding my requirements to complete:
General Education (Arts & Sciences Requirement) 18.00 semester hours at the upper level (I'll corner this with ECU/CLEP/DSST testing). I actually have must less left, since they don't have some DSST tests that I've completed, and they dropped 8 credit hours of Texas A&M stuff that ACE have blessed off on. I'll get those back
AND
Applied Professional Credits or Additional Arts & Sciences
7.00 semester hours lower level in any academic area (the Written English, Quantitative and Information Literacy Requirements will apply to these hours)
6.00 semester hours upper level in any academic area
TO INCLUDE:
Written English Requirement 3.00 semester hours in Written English
I'll knock this out with the Excelsior College "English Composition" examination or UExcel "College Writing" Exam (ENG 110)
Quantitative Requirement
All baccalaureate degree students are required to take a course (equal to at least 2 semester hours or 3 quarter hours) in quantitative reasoning. I'll knock this out with ALEKS.
NEXT UP.... DSST MONEY AND BANKING!!!! cheersmate
