NYC Substitute Teacher Renewel Acceptable Exams

I have already take the Intro to Ed. Psych CLEP and the Human Growth and Development CLEP. I am going to to take the Foundations of Education DSST Exam. I need 3 more credits to renew my sub license. Can I take Intro to Psych or Intro to Sociology to satisfy the requirement for professional credits? I didn't take them in undergrad so it would not be a duplication.

If so, would Intro to Psych and Educational Psych overlap?

Anyone renewed to the NYCDOE with credits earned from exams? Thank you.

I can't speak to the rules of NYCDOE, but speaking to the content, Intro to Psychology shouldn't overlap with Intro to Educational Psychology. There is much in Intro to Psych that isn't addressed in Intro to Ed Psych (just as there's much addressed in depth in Intro to Ed Psych that's not addressed or not addressed in depth in Intro to Psych).

I renewed with the first two clep tests you listed. They list it on the DOE website. Sociology and psych won't work unfortunately. The UFT offers courses to take but they are all for the fall.
