Limit on Straighterline Credits to Excelsior College
#1
I know that only a limited number of Straighterline credits will transfer to Excelsior College for the Nursing Program; however, my daughter is enrolling in Excelsior's business program and was told by Excelsior that only 7 credits can transfer from Straighterline. Really? Straighterline just said that she will have a lot more general credit options to take!

If this is true, then TESC is king.

Wow, that is surprising. I am a Liberal Arts student and I transferred in 11 classes/33 credits from Straighterline to Excelsior and all of them are on my transcript.

I wouldn't have thought it would have been so different for business students.

I think they will limit what you transfer directly from Straighterline to Excelsior, but they will take everything if you put your Straighterline courses on ACE transcript.

Hmmmm... So I guess it's best to have Straighterline go through ACE before transferring.

Even at that, it means losing getting letter grades for your SL courses. It is my understanding (someone please correct me if I am wrong) that Excelsior awards letter grades fro SL courses/credits.

I transferred directly from SL and did not get a grade for any of my courses with Excelsior.
