Looking degree plan (IT or management)
#1
Hi all,

First of all, I would like to thank the forum members who guided me, allowing me to complete my first associate degree in the Pierpont BOG AAS Program, AOE in Information Technology. After completing my AAS, I am now looking to pursue a Bachelor's program, and I would appreciate your opinions and advice.

Thank you,

Location: Malaysia
Age: 31
What kind of degree do you want?: I am considering pursuing a Bachelor's level program in IT or Management (Fully Online Program). Currently, I am looking into UoPeople and UMPI, but I will seek more information about UoPeople, as they offer financial aid for international students, which could potentially reduce tuition fees.

Exactly the same two institutions that I would recommend, it's really up to you to decide on which one, here's some food for thought though... UMPI BAS with a minor, two/three of your choice, plus the 3-4 classes that can go towards the MAOL. You can ladder it like this, BOG AAS> UMPI BAS> UMPI MAOL and be done with your education faster. The cost would be offset with a better paying/newer job...

On the flip side, you can do UoPeople now that they're RA, but it'll be slower to complete, probably a year longer. You can do this BOG AAS> UoPeople BSCS, UoPeople MSIT, and call it a day. You may be able to get the scholarships to lower the tuition, but, the opportunity costs may be higher (losing out on a higher paying job offer earlier). And that's what people need to decide on, a mix of cheap, easy, fast.
