Looking for some help Creating a "Cheapest" GM Degree from TESU Plan
#1
Hello All,

Looking for some help. I have begun making a spreadsheet and will be hoping to post it to a sticky or wiki here for new people coming to the site. I am looking for the cheapest options for credits for a general management degree. Right now I have it @ $4,652 not including any Books from SL that may or may not be required. I also didn't include membership prices for SL because these courses depending on the person can be done in 1 or 2 months for the quicker people and maybe 3 for slower.

Right now the area that is the most expensive is the Professional Business Requirements coming in at around $915. Its a Combo of SL, Study, TECEP, and Saylor: This will probably be messy when it posts but here is the info. I am also looking for any other alternatives for cheaper credits I may have missed. The main part of this project is CHEAPEST, not easiest. I have a bunch of 6credit CLEP exams. I figure it will be hard to beat 6crs for $105 which comes out to $17.50 per credit.

You need to factor time into it too just so you don't end up deluding yourself; Study.com and Straighterline are both services that you'll need at least a 1mo subscription to, if not more, depending on the pace.

I do personally have the study.com scholarship, the point of my project is to help out the newcomers to the forum with updated information to earn a degree for the cheapest price. They can in-turn change courses however they like. The cost for my degree is going to be way cheaper then the one I will be posting. I got the study.com scholarship so that 6 free courses, plus I get full reimbursement for CLEP exams from my job. I included the study.com membership because that's based on 2exams per month. That is why they are listed at $99 per course. Even though someone could grab another exam for only $70 and save a few bucks.

SL doesn't have Computer Concepts & Applications, that course is called IT Fundamentals and has gotten really terrible reviews on here. You could do the Saylor Intro to Computer Science course instead. Or Study.com has 2 that are equal to the CLEP or DSST if you have a month membership there anyway.
