MLA citations
#1
I finished writing my report and all that's left now is citations... The first 2 I tried doing but I'm not sure if it's right. The first is an online magazine article and the 2nd is an online book. The professor said if the URL goes into the next line, we should break it off by the slash (/) so that's what I did and also if the citation goes for a few lines, he said to put 5 spaces in the beginning...I'm not sure if I did it right... Also, would this be considered a book or article?
Can someone help me please?

There have been a few discussions on the forum lately about citations. I've just now figured out how to do then correctly using APA style.

Another poster recommended using Zotero because it works with Firefox and Word. Here is the link to the website Zotero | Home. You plug in your information (or all the information you have for that book or article) and then choose with citation style you would like it and whala, its done. You can make bibliographies and tonnes of other stuff.

I would consider your posted link an article. Mostly because its so short. *Edit* If you got it off the internet, include the ULR in your bibliography. JMHO

Good luck

Zotero? Yes.

I'm using it right now for my Managerial Communications course at TESC. I had been doing everything manually but now I'm able to just plug it into zotero and it will put it into the correct formate. I'm supposed to include a bibliography in my essays but I wasn't quite sure about how to do one. This program (which is free and comes with a plug-in for Word) simplified the whole process for me. That said, I haven't turned in my paper yet (since starting to zotero) but I'm sure it will only improve my score.

I love'n it =) [except for the actual writing part LOL]

I finished downloading it and now it's telling me to push the zotero button on the corner of Firefox but when I click on it it tells me there was an error starting it...

Wish I could help, but I not sure what happed.

Have you downloaded the plug-in for Word? You have to have both Firefox and Word open at the same time when citing because zotero will store you citation info on the internet so that you can access it from any computer. Try what I mentioned here, but if it doesn't work the I'm not sure what's wrong. I'm still learning how to use it.

You sign up, they send you a confirmation email. You then log in, create a password, and I don't remember what else. It's all pretty easy, just follow the instructions (haha I don't even remember if there are any). Besides downloading the stuff, have you made an account yet? This is part of the process since you will be able to access all of you citing information from any computer. PM me if you need any more help (or post, it doesn't matter).
