My Little Problem
#1
Hello all,

I booked myself a CLEP for next Friday in Introductory Business Law and have been studying IC. I call up at the bookstore and ask if they have the REA book. The lady says yes (she doesn't see why not), so I go up to check next day and I should have paid more attention to the . . . you get it. I can't postpone my CLEP because I need to take it before my fall semester begins. Others on IC tend to think IC is enough for the Business Law CLEP, but I would like the extra "for sure-ness" that REA or another study source brings. So, this weekend I am traveling from Memphis to Nashville and wondered if any of you lived in the surrounding area and needed to sell an Intro to Business Law book.Big Grin If so, I would be much appreciative!

I studied EC only for approx 10 hours for one week (my standard prep strategy) and passed with a 61. Know the major terminology and definitions and be able to apply logic and critical thinking to the scenario-based questions and you should do okay. As always, an “analyze and eliminate” strategy with regard to a multiple-choice format exam will serve you well. Good luck…

Hi,
I know there were two pretty good study guides that members posted in the specific feedback section for that exam. Did you look there? If they aren't available anymore, send me your email and I'll forward them along to you. I wish I had a book to send you but I just sent out my Barron's BLaw book last week to another forum friend.

Good luck and let me know if you need those notes.

Thanks, Kelly. I'm good right now. I am able to peruse the Specific Feedback, and I also secured a copy of Barron's Business Law. Hooray! I got it from a library in Memphis. All 708 pages of it! I take the exam Friday, and am hoping to do well.

Thanks for you all's concern!

I am sure you will do a terrific job!! Also, just a suggestion - be sure to match the exam content guide to the Barron's book and only cover the chapters that you need for Bus Law I. The reason I say that (besides the fact that that doorstop - I mean book - is over 700 pages) is that many of the topics in the Barron's book are covered in Bus Law II not 1.

I used the Barron's book successfully for both Bus Law tests and if you are only taking Bus Law I then it would be overkill to read the whole thing.

Please let us know how you do and if I can help - just holla!
