Alright, I think I'm ready to take my first test.
I was planning on using the testing center at my local community college, and I guess the fee is average - $35.
Does anyone know of any cheaper testing centers in NJ? I'm in central NJ and am willing to travel. I live very close to TESC, and plan on taking the TECEPS there, but they seem to have a funny testing schedule for CLEP/DSST, and I can't seem to find their test taking fees.
Thank you all!

Brookdale Community College's Test Center is the best -
Testing Center. The hours are generous and there is no appointment necessary. I have a community college in my town, but I have a schedule that makes it difficult to make and keep appointments, so for me it is worth the extra mileage to take a trip down to Brookdale.

Don't know NJ, but there a Devry's there? Two are near me. One doesn't offer tests, and one does it withought a fee. As I'm taking loads of tests, it's really helping.

Mercer CC was $25 fee last time I went there. I also go out to Northampton CC in PA they are only $15 and I like the quiet room and nice computers. There are a lot of options in central jersey, what county are you in?

Thank you -- there is a DeVry not too far away, I'll call and see if they charge for testing.
Linda -
MCCC is now $35,

That would be my local CC, so I'm a bit disappointed. I live in Mercer County. I have about 27 tests to take, so saving a few bucks on the fees certainly adds up.

I'd just call Middlesex, Raritan Valley, Ocean, Burlington, Camden and Brookdale if I were you and ask. If Mercer is $35 and one of them is $5-$10 less and you're going to take a lot of them it's probably worth it. My CC is Warren but I've never tested there and it's a pretty far drive for you probably.

Raritan Valley is $40-45 . why don't you try a CC over in PA . They might be cheaper. Did you check out Georgian Court I think they are cheaper

I took a CLEP test at Ocean County College and the proctor fee was $25. I also took a CLEP at TESC and the fee was $20... that may be a good option for you since it's so close, but they do only administer the tests once a month I believe.
