Need help EDD with RA
#1
Hi, can anyone help me find a EDD program with RA and will accept credits from my EDS program. I’d preferred a college that also has a physically location that people would consider reputable.  So far I’ve seen U of M Flint, Hampton, and Arkansas State but I really would like a school that  will take my doctorate level transfer courses.

If you are comfortable with the religious nature of the university, Liberty is an excellent option. Their EdD online accepts up to 50% of the program in transfer.  They also have reasonable tuition at $595/credit.

The American College of Education  allows you to transfer in 100% of the coursework from your EdS toward an EdD, assuming you have a 3.0 in your specialist.  Tuition is cheaper than Liberty at $306/credit. American College of Education is regionally accredited but is a for-profit school which may turn some people off. On the plus side, they have partnerships with many school districts, unions, etc, so you might pay less than the quoted tuition if you are teaching now.

If these don’t work for you, can you share a bit more about what you want (degree focus, budget, etc)?

I think the American College of Education is a virtual school with no on-campus classes. Are you wanting to use state or federal financial aid? Financial aid can't be used at ACE.

Thanks, I applied to Liberty as it was free to apply this week. I considered ACE but I may want use financial aid, I've actually taken two classes there before.

University of North Georgia's Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership and Practice: https://ung.edu/degrees/graduate/higher-...ce-edd.php

They state this:

"Requests for transfer course credit for courses completed at regionally accredited institutions within six years will be reviewed by the Higher Education Leadership & Practice admissions committee upon the request of the student. Requests will only be considered if courses were NOT applied towards the completion of a degree earned. Requests must include the syllabus for the semester in which the proposed transfer course credit was completed. Requests may only include courses from programs at the Ed.S., Ed.D. or Ph.D. levels. Transfer credit award will be up to 15 credit hours."
