I wouldn't expect any of the resources to be particularly similar to each other. That's why you would study multiple resources...so that you can get exposure to a wider variety of information.

It never hurts to overstudy--that's a great strategy, but honestly, between our materials and the Petersons sample tests, I don't think you can go wrong on Sociology.
