Notification window opened while on a proctored exam!
#1
Oh my gosh I’m so frustrated. I was taking a study.com proctored exam and I had maybe 5 questions left. I was using my touchscreen to scroll up to the next question and the Notification window slid out! Arrrggghhh!!! I don’t have a mouse and using the down arrow changes my response. I immediately contacted PSI Testing to find out if it would disqualify me. They said no and gave me a ticket number as proof that I contacted them. I emailed study.com to let them know as well. I guess ultimately it would be up to the person proctoring the exam or maybe study.com to decide. Ugh.... and it’s Friday too so that means I have to be a nervous wreck all weekend. Has this happened to anyone?

It's okay, as long as the notification doesn't contain any test-related material. There was this one test that my friends were bombarding Discord with ting ting ting for 15 mins but I'm still good to go.

I had a notification pop up for some kind of software update in the middle of a test once. I didn't contact anyone and just hoped for the best. It was fine.

That happened to me once, too. A text came in. I freaked out and couldn't focus for the rest of the exam. My grade suffered from that, but I wasn't penalized for the text coming in.

I created a separate clean computer user account for proctored exams. Every system feature that isn't required for testing is disabled. That user account isn't signed in to anything except the proctoring/testing services. I recommend that everyone do this, as it significantly reduces your risk of problems.

You should be fine, I have had that issue happen to me a couple of times. I never had a red flag or anything in my account.
