Advice for Information Systems and Computer Applications?
#1
Hi. I'm about to take the Information Systems and Computer Applications CLEP. I have no computer background whatsoever. Does anyone have any advice on what I should focus my studying on and how difficult the exam will be?

Thanks so much!

I'm sure some of the material will make sense to you since you're using your computer right now. That being said there are great resources out there. A lot of people like InstantCert for this exam. Are you a member?

I'm no computer expert, though I am very comfortable using search engines, web browsing, email and word documents. I say join IC and get ready to memorize.

Passed:

American Gov, US History 1, US History 2, Computing, Info Systems, Humanities, Sociology, Art, Western Civ I, Western Civ II, Social Sciences and History, Civil War, Business, Vietnam, A&I Lit, Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice, American Lit, English Lit, Astronomy, Supervision, 1 FEMA, Total -79

I have to agree with operalady. InstantCert is very good for this particular exam. I used only the IC flashcards and passed the exam.

Good Luck!

Yes, I'm a member of Instacert. I've been using it for about a year. This test is my last 3 credits before graduation.

Thanks so much for the advice. I've been over the flashcards quite a bit, so it sounds like I should be able to figure it out.

DSST's Intro to Computers is even breeeeezier, since it doesn't delve into a whole lot of programming topics...
