O.P. Jindal Global University as an American
#1
I have seen a previous thread discussing O.P. Jindal Global University's Coursera master's degrees and was wondering how they'd be viewed in America by employers. I'm rather interested in the MBA in Business Analytics because of the price and asynchronous pace. Would this degree be seen as a negative in the USA? Is accreditation an issue?

Thank you and apologies if this should have been posted in the other thread, feel free to remove if needed.

Bruh, I'm not sure if it's worth the potential stress with accreditation when you have inexpensive options like HAU and WGU's MBA for not much more. WGU is RA and ACBSP as well for ~$5k, if you are able to finish in one term, which is very feasible for a motivated student.

@Biz01, Welcome to the board, it's great you're asking questions, having said that, you're not providing much details on your current scenario. I highly recommend filling in the addendum and template to provide an overall overview of your situation: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...Area-works

Everyone will provide answers that vary and you'll be swayed in all directions, I would review what you can and see which way you want to follow, or make your own path towards getting to that educational goal. The following is what I believe, others will have their own opinion...

An example, if you already hold an undergrad from a more recognized public/state institution at the undergraduate level in the US, and need a cheapo Masters in Business Analytics, then the MOOC offerings from Coursera/EdX, and others such as the one you're looking at, Masters in Business Analytics, you should be fine with the Jindal Global or the ones we recommend.

Another way of looking at this, if your previous undergraduate education was from an international institution, and they were evaluated as equivalent to RA bachelors, you can also continue on with the MOOC offerings from Coursera/EdX, etc. You can think of it as an one-and-done option for international education equivalent to RA bachelors and masters, it's still accredited.

Honestly, not sure about accreditation but I do know name wise wouldn’t be a problem. That schools namesake is the father of Naveen Jindal, the namesake of Jindal School of Management which happens to constantly be one of the top ranked in MBAs in the Country for online.
