Okay, so does anyone juggle?
#1
Juggling is actually a great way to relax while studying. As you do more and more complicated patterns that involve crossing your hands over each other and such, it gets the two sides of the brain involved and if your brain is currently in a math mode but you're studying Analyzing and Interpreting Lit., it'll open up the highway between the two halves of the brains and allow you to concentrate with the right side of your brain more.

You see, the two sides of the brain concentrate on different subject matters (left-hard science type stuff) (right-soft scienc type stuff). When doing school, one side is usually dominant for about two hours and then the other side takes a turn. This makes it easier/more difficult to study certain types of subjects at different times.

So, when you do exercises that involve crossing your arms over each other in weird ways, it wakes up both sides of the brain.

I say all that to say this. I juggle (see my name) does anyone else juggle while studying?

I guess no one does. Oh well, it was worth a try but at least it was on topic for the off topic forum.

I juggle and find it to be great fun. When I started really hitting the books last summer (since this summer [semester+1/2] I've done about 40credits+Full time job ) I couldn't make it to fencing practice but I wanted to keep up my hand speed and hand/eye coordination so I taught myself to juggle one weekend while doing my reading assignments. As I've gotten better it's also turned into a nice little ice breaker when hanging out with friends.

While studying I will juggle if I'm listening to audio lectures, or similar. I find that I actually retain more if I do both at the same time because my mind is constantly in "PAY ATTENTION" mode.

That's awesome grauwulf. You know, next time I listen to an audio lecture, I'll try that. I've only used for breaks or to goof off so far. Thanks!
