I did an online 19 week Java and Python course and it wound up pretty scammy. Obviously bootcamps are hard because you're being taught way too much way too quickly but I passed in spite of that. With the interest to the loan I came out owing just shy of 30k. The cert gave no help finding a job in fact, of the people I kept in touch with, it seemed less than 5% found any kind of tech employment within 6 months. I know the market is a little rough right now and has been around the time i finished in august of 2023 but it seemed like they really under prepped us and over sold the program. I even heard that they refunded and disband the class immediately after mine.
That being said, there are good instructors there, passionate to teach. It was good networking but the insane fees just aren't worth it. Overall I personally wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I guess it may depend on where you’re located. It seems Reddit users are saying that the Pacific cohorts are having more success finding jobs. Some people report that Hack Reactor never contacted them to see if they found a job, so I wonder how they’re getting their numbers.
