Need Additional Business Elective
#1
Hey Guys, thank the Lord! I finally enrolled in TESC back in August for my accounting degree and have 6 courses left of which 2 can be clepped/dsst out of. I need one more business elective. This is what my academic evaluation in this area looks like:

Business Electives (9sh)
> Complete 9 sh from accounting, banking, business, computer
> applications, computer information systems, finance,
> management, hotel/motel/restaurant management, insurance,
> operations management, public administration, real
> estate, law, marketing, and retailing management,
> fundraising.
Semester Hours Completed: 6.00 Required: 9 Remaining: 3
Src Course # Title S.H. Grd TESC # Notes
1.. MAN-201... Principles of Supervision 3.00 CR MAN-201 *NE
1.. ECO-332... Money and Banking........ 3.00 CR ECO-332 *NE

I need one more course in this area. Any suggestions? I haven't taken Human Resource Management yet-would it qualify?

Thanks, Dan. BTW-TESC accepted all of my cleps/dssts(about 90 credits worth) except Analyzing and Interpreting Literature. Keep it up-it really works!

HRM definitely counts under management at least, and I would argue is one of the easier DSST ones. It's also upper level if that's a requirement. TESC has a wealth of business courses it accepts and/or you can test out of.

I would recommend either DSST Intro to Business (I took cold) or TECEP Computer Concepts and Applications as the easiest choices.

You could also use the TEEX free online courses; they are 2cr for each track. Thread Link: http://www.degreeforum.net/general-educa...t-teex.htm

You did not specify if you are on the pay per credit plan, & thus would need to meet the 24 credit residency requirement. If you are though, Saylor has two courses you could do free that would align with TECEPs exams ($111) at TESC to fulfill these requirements:

BUS403: Negotiations and Conflict Management. Aligned to NEG-401-TE Negotiations and Conflict Management TECEP Exam.

CS402: Computer Communications and Networks. Aligned to CMP-354-TE Networking Technologies TECEP Exam.

I would recommend you look at Business Math DSST since you already have lots of accounting and finance under your belt. Lots of overlap for you and TESC takes it as LL business elective.
