Not always. My missing credit was added to humanities (human cultures) -- raising the requirement for that group from 9 to 10cr, which meant I needed another course.

Did you try to appeal that?
Mine was automatically moved to gen ed during my eval, I didn't need to contact anyone regarding it. But it is probably worth talking to someone about if you haven't already.

I haven't, but by the time the difference in how mine was applied sunk in, I'd already handled it.
