Just to clarify: I expect that these new courses will get the credit from the PHP certification eventually...but unfortunately it's not a guarantee yet.

The other option is to switch to an IT Management concentration and then find 4 courses that will work for that concentration or some cert that fills most of the requirements. 

I would ask if any of the PHP cert fills the IT Management concentration. Also, ask what types of courses or specific course numbers qualify for IT management concentration. And if any of the Google Certs will work.

Here's what I see, cross-referencing PUG's certification credit and their list of IT Management concentration courses:

CEH: 4 (Certified Ethical Hacking I and II, Linux Security, Intrusion Detection and Incident Response)
CySA+: 3 (Certified Ethical Hacking I and II, Intrusion Detection and Incident Response)
OSCP: 3 (Certified Ethical Hacking I and II, Intrusion Detection and Incident Response)
CHFI: 2 (Intrusion Detection and Incident Response, Digital Forensics)
Associate of CISSP: 3 (Certified Information Systems Security Professional I, II, and III)

CISSP and CySA+ are the two that I personally know of, and from what I hear they're both relatively tough -- not entry-level certs. Quickly looking online, CEH doesn't look excessively hard...but it's $1200 to take, so it may not be worth it for many.
