I applied about three weeks ago and I received notification today that my unofficial evaluation is completed, when I access my Ec I do not have any evaluation, it just says to go ahead and enroll, how does the process work?
They have all my 65 credits, should they give me some kind of guidance now or after erollment?
Thanks

HMMM...When I registered, Excelsior sent me an email with links to my status report and my transcript. When you log onto Excelsior, are you clicking on the area that says, STATUS REPORT AND EVALUATION SUMMARY? If you click there it will display two links, one for your latest evaluation report and one for your latest evaluation summary.

I called and they posted the evaluation right away and now I am confused.
The requirements do not add up and they assigned a major (Criminal Justice?) which I did not expect and will require additional courses or testing that I did not expect. Is this set in stone? or is just a guide, do I have to go for a major in Criminal justice? (I guess they determined my major by the 14 Fema cr. I have)
I added all the req. and they add to 133 cr. I am going to enroll as I keep testing the rest of my LL credits.
I will try to get certified to teach and i am more interested in an Education depth or even psychology....Do I have to have a major?
Any guidance will be appreciated since I may need to wait another 4 to 6 weeks after enrollment to call them.
Thanks in advance!

You do not have to major in Criminal Justice. It is your degree, and nobody can force you into anything. My guess would be they noticed a block of work in that field and thus tagged you under that title. You can pursue a Bachelors in Liberal Studies. Many individuals that log onto this forum are doing this or have completed their studies under that major and they can better advise you.
I would encourage you to look over your assesment and make sure all the credits are there. When I registered at Excelsior they missed 6 credits. This happens, you just have to draw it to their attention. Also, you need to get a catalog that will explain exactly what you need to do (credit breakdown) to get your Bachelors in Liberal Studies. You can have Excelsior send this catalog to you or you could download it. I would suggest having them send you a copy of the Liberal Arts Catalog. You can request this from their website.

They only gave me the requirements I need to complete, I hope I am reading this right......I may need to sleep on it......?
I figure that the 65 I have plus another 25 LL (including 6 Nat Sc. and math and 3 English comp.) will give me the 90 LL and then I'll move on to 30 UL for a BS Lib Arts.
When they say 25 Applied Prof. will the Nat. Sc, Math and English count into these? I plan to complete the rest with Am Lit, Found of Educat, Intro to Comp. and 2 Fema. Then I'll move to 30 UL.....?
Am I reading it right?
I am sooo.... confused.....
Any advice for my call to Excelsior?
Thank you all, you are my lifeline...

I was in the exact same place a year ago when I enrolled in EC's Liberal Arts program. While it does seem confusing, the best advice I could give is to stay in close contact with your advisor. Get a list of all of the CLEPS/Dantes, and ECE tests and go through them with your councilor, making up a list that will satisfy your degree plan as well as your interests. For me, I can't stand history, so I found a way around it, you may love history and want to take as many as possible. The Liberal Arts program is extremely flexible and can be tailored to you; just make sure you bounce your choices off your advisor so you don't take any duplicate tests. I also recommend you stick with the same advisor when you call and write down everything you discuss. Good luck! Lee

Thank you,
I'll follow your advice blueyzz28!
I'll call before I enroll tomorrow and run a few questions through them.
I have a tentative road map that I can discuss with them.and I hope they are receptive to phone calls and stupid questions.(LOL)
The duplication warning makes me nervous, I just finished Am Hist I and II and Am. Gvmt. Do these duplicate? I hope not....
Also, I have some 10 months to complete the remaining of my degree and be able to walk next July and I am wondering if this time frame is realistic.
I have been able to test on average every two to three weeks but I need to know if this a reasonable amount of time to prepapre for UL's?
Thanks again
