Hi everyone! I am trying to help my mom obtain 48 RA credits quickly. We have looked at Straighterline and Aleks. I also looked at FEMA for her, well those credits. Does anyone have any other low cost and faster methods? CLEP or any testing for credits is not accepted, the credits are for her teacher's credential and the district where she works, has stated they would not accept these only credits where she can earn a grade. Thanks to those who respond.

Then SL, ALEKS, TECEP and FEMA are also out.
Look at your local community college for classes held over winter break. These are sometimes only 2 weeks long (graded) and she might be able to sign up for 2....but that's only going to earn 6 credits and it'll cost her at least $600. Also, there are online schools offering shortened 8 week terms, which could be an option, but not especially cheap or fast.
48 graded RA credits quickly is a hard requirement to meet. What does she have now? I have an alternate idea.

Does your mom already have a Bachelor's degree? Is she just trying to move up the salary step ladder? If so, she could try independent study classes from the University of San Diego. She should verify with her school district that they will fulfill the requirements, of course.

What about the DSST exams that are offered a letter grade on an Excelsior College transcript? Will those work? I know you said no test credit, but technically, she'll be getting a letter grade for those. Only for the DSSTs that have not been converted to the 400-500 grading system.

this is why he needs to tell us what she already has. If she has 100/200 level credit, she's got to be careful that she doesn't duplicate credit. I wish we had more information, we could be more helpful.

This is the problem. Just replace "Good" with your criteria (RA, graded, etc).
