Straighterline - Contact Advisor for Grade?

Hi all. I recently had an essay flagged for plagiarism through straighterline. The similarity score was about 26% because I used quotes, and even though they were properly cited, it was suggested that I rewrite the piece to get a lower similarity score. I contacted SL through the live chat as was suggested and they deleted the assignment. I re wrote and resubmitted the essay today without quotes, but just now when I logged in to check if I had received a new grade it isn't showing on the course card. Instead, there's a note that I have to contact a student advisor for my grade. What is going on?

Let me guess, this is Business Communications? At one point I had to "redo" a section as there were 7% similar.
I was choked as that one section was also just "cited" info, and I had that in the "Works cited" area on the final page.
They did the same thing, told me "place it in my own words", I redid the darn thing and ended up with a 92% on that.

I mean, I had a 97% on the first item, 0% similarity, 93% on the 7% similarity, and a 92% on an job I had 13% similarity.
They look at the similarity as an "entire" sentence, if it's bits and pieces of similarity, they'll let it go as it happened to my 13% one....
You just need to reword that section or two, but 25% is a bit, even in their turnitin grading scale, it's mentioned anything over 25% is flagged (big time).

The same thing happened to me with that course, I had 27% similarity. When I submitted a ticket to inquire about my grade, I was told that they had just forgotten to remove the hold. It was removed and I could then see my grade. Only took about an hour to get a response back from them.

There's a flag on your account, I would just call them, they just need to release the note or override the note.

Sorry I forgot to mention this but the student advisors were unavailable when I called and attempted live chat. It was after 7:30PM EST even though I saw somewhere they are open until 9PM. I tried several times so I guess it will have to wait until the morning. I can see on my submissions tab that the new version only has a 2% similarity as I rewrote it completely removing the quotes.

So if I call tomorrow everything will be okay? I was halfway worried that I was being kicked out of the course or something.

To ease your mind a bit, yes it will be OK. It has occurred to many before you...
No worries what so ever, carry on and rock some more SL courses while you're at it!
