Either of these courses will satisfy the Integrated Physical Science requirement for WGU:
- General Chemistry I CHEM101
- General Physics I PHY250
Which one would you recommend? Which could be completed fastest? I'd like to finish up 2 courses already started plus one of these science courses within a month.

Enjoyed both courses about the same. Outside of just selecting the course on your strength of knowledge and interest, here are some factors to take into consideration:
Amount of exams
Amount of questions per exam
How the course is weighted (exams + midterm + final= Pass)
Here is the course syllabus for each one:
Physics: Course Syllabus
Chemistry: Course Syllabus
I would rock with Physics for your interests and how the course is weighted.

I took all the sciences from Straighterline, every one of them. Chemistry/Physics were about the same for me.
The one I liked most (and scored highest) was Environmental Science, then Nutrition, SL C++ I had the lowest.
When I took Bio, A&P I and A&P II were about the same as well, I guess it depends on which one fits you more.
Strangely, I liked Microbiology too as it was $25 when I took it. Find out which interests you the most, take that.
Update: You may also want to take a look at Study.com as they offer courses for Sciences, are you looking at labs too?
If you are, there are some courses for Straighterline, Study.com, Ed4credit that have corresponding labs.

If you need a lab course, SL & Ed4Credit have actual physical labs, while Study.com has virtual labs.

Thanks for the advice. I only need the course, no lab required.
I'm still undecided and need to reactivate my membership today. In a nutshell...
Physics:
heavy in math and recommends taking Calculus first (which I haven't); no textbook
score breakdown: 600 in graded exams, 200 mid-term, 200 proctored final (only Moodle links + 1 page of notes allowed during final)
Chemistry:
no prerequisite; reviews indicate a lot of memorization; thick textbook
score breakdown: 690 in graded exams, 310 proctored final (closed book, only periodic table and scratch paper allowed)
I'm leaning toward Physics but the math requirement scares me. College Algebra is one of the other courses I'll complete after reactivating.

I went with Physics and after watching the first 3 videos, I feel good about it and believe this was the best choice for me.
In the intro, the professor says there is math in this course but nothing too fancy. Basic algebra and calculus, and the math used will be explained during the course.

After a few more videos, dang... wish me luck! This course is chock full of calculus.

Dang. I was thinking of doing this for my next course. I guess I will take Calculus courses first.

Thanks for the info on SL physics. Might be too late, but fyi: study.com Intro to Nat Science comes in as physics 1 at TESU.

Did you finish General Physics I? Was the math (calculus specifically) explained sufficiently in the course for you to be able to understand/work the problems? I'm thinking of taking it next but I haven't taken calculus one yet.
