Hey everyone,
I am currently floating around looking for the best (in my case cheapest) college option for me after being super on track to a WGU BA bachelors.
I've applied to WGU and got accepted and have been working through all the Sophia and SDC classes I could to transfer in. I now have about 3 classes left to transfer in not including Critical Thinking which I was planning on taking at WGU.
I recently applied to Texas A&M Commerce for their competency-based BA and am waiting for their response.
I am also interested in UMPI's BA in Project Management as that is my current career. I am very confused though as to what I can bring in or not for what I have so far (a ton of Sophia and SDC credits 14 Sophia classes and 11 SDC classes in the books for me). I also applied to UMPI to get my transcripts evaluated but looking through some threads here maybe I was not supposed to do that?
My goal is to get a Business Administration or something similar degree for as cheap as possible. I have 15 years of business management experience and my real goal is to move on to get an MBA from WGU afterward.
From my understanding, UMPI is $1,400 for 8 weeks, which I like more than WGU's $3,500 for 6 months. I imagine I could finish my degree in 2 UMPI's terms if I max out what I can transfer in. For reference, I have completed 25 Sophia/SDC classes in 5 months.
Here is my plan so far, I really need help molding this, I copied the plan someone else shared and added in what I completed as well everything I have done below. Any tips would be super appreciated.
Thank you!

Edit (saw more stuff):
I think that between what you've taken and what you've already planned, there are only 4 more courses you can take at Study.com (and not saying you SHOULD, but rather what you CAN do):
HUM 201: Critical Thinking & Analysis for the Creative Decision Making requirements
- 86 lessons and 3 assignments
ACC 301: Applied Managerial Accounting for the Managerial Accounting requirements
- 124 lessons and 2 assignments
BUS 303: Management Information Systems for the MIS requirements
- 113 lessons and 3 assignments
BUS 304: Leading Organizational Change for the Change Management requirements
- 109 lessons and 1 assignment
This would leave you with 11 courses at UMPI.
I might try them all out, and see if you think it's going to go quickly or slowly. If you can get through quickly, then do the course; if it's going to be a ton of work, then skip it and take it at UMPI. But, just know that it might take you 3 terms instead of 2 if you have too many courses at UMPI (although it sounds like 2 is doable with your experience).

For UMPI, make sure you get the GEC requirements filled before everything else. Check out https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UM...quivalents to see where the Sophia courses should fit.
If you know any other language, the ACTFL exam would be faster/easier than Spanish from InstantCert. But, if you don't know another language, InstantCert is good.
I would start Biology 101L at SDC ASAP. Some people have trouble with it, though most are able to get through it in a week or two. You might also want to give Chemistry 111L a whirl, to see if that's more to your liking, before paying for the lab subscription for either.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:

ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Emotional and Cultural Intelligence? Not a SDC course, and there are a bunch of those). You also have course numbers wrong: BUS 321 Human Resource Management (SDC's courses are BUS 106: Human Resource Management or BUS 306: Strategic Human Resources Management). I think you put in some other course numbers, or else what WGU brought stuff in as.
So if you can change your spreadsheet to list those courses, we can be of more help.
Fixed! Added in all the proper names for the Sophia/SDC courses I actually took.

I speak Portuguese fluently but recently started learning Spanish, I might actually want to do a Spanish class but I want to think on it.
Thanks for the tip I will try Biologu 101L and Chemistry 111L to see which is easier, science is not my strongest subject sadly.

If you speak Portuguese fluently, then the cheapest ACTFL test you can do would be either the reading or listening exam for $51. https://www.languagetesting.com/lti/prod...ng_id/7264? That's only a few dollars more than InstantCert and you can get it done almost INSTANTLY instead of spending time studying Spanish and not completing SDC/Sophia courses.
