Just wondering what projects people have done for the TESC Capstone requirement and what the degrees were in. Please share your experiences, thanks!

I am currently in the Nuclear Engineering Capstone class and my group is doing our capstone on Nuclear Renaissance, Fact or Fiction. Pretty much a 30-35 page group analytic research paper on the Nuclear Renaissance. This is my last class for my BS in Nuclear Energy Engineering Technology.
The topics the groups in the class had to choose from were pretty much listed to us by the mentor...

My degree was in Communications, and my capstone paper addressed the history and influence of the Vaganova method of ballet. So your topic does not need to be correlated to your degree.

That works a little bit differently in the Liberal Arts Capstone - although the professor did provide a few example topics, you were free to write about anything. Some people wrote about degree-related topics and some wrote about personal hobbies or interests (like I did). You can really use it to delve into a subject you are interested in but didn't get to really study at all during your education, or you can expand on a subject you already touched on in another class. Hope that helps, and good luck on your Capstone class! CLEPs:

You were in the nuclear energy engineering technology program, not the nuclear engineering technology program.

I know this thread is very old, but if any of you are around that took NUC495 (the nuke capstone at TESU or EC) how many other pre-req classes did you take prior to the class? Or did you just rely on the knowledge you had from the Navy and get the rest waived?
